~Caught a nasty cold that I'm still trying to get rid of two weeks later
~Finished a really awesome shawl I crocheted
~Bought myself booze for Valentine's day (lol)

Got some better-ish news about my mom-they finally diagnosed her with a rare skin cancer and the prognosis is 22 months, instead of 6-12 like they thought. The results they took from her liver since she had the chemo on Monday have improved-even the levels that weren't bad are up. So she was in a good mood when we talked yesterday.

Me, I got strep throat over the weekend, but it's already clearing up really well thanks to the meds I got on right away. Nobody else seems to have caught it, so fingers crossed.

I've picked up the imalive training process again (after my cat passed away-I mentioned that right?-and I found out about my mother, I kind of put it aside, but I still want to do it, so I'm pursing it again)--here is the link to my page if you're interested in taking a look. It's been a crazy couple weeks here.

I don't know if I mentioned that my mom had a stroke months ago (can't remember exactly when), but long story short, she ended up quitting her job because she was too tired for the long commute (or something) and then couldn't find another one. Well things finally came to a head weekend before last, and she is now staying with us until she can find a job and a place to live here. For now she is sleeping on an air mattress in my 3yo's room, and since my 1yo is still sleeping in our room it works out well. (Did I mention my younger one turned a year old last week?!)

We also got our tax return, and GOT A CAR FINALLY! A friend of ours mentioned in passing that she was going to sell hers, and her asking price was SIGNIFICANTLY less than half of our return (we got a pretty good chunk because of the kids, heh). It's 10 years old but in excellent condition and all I hear about it is that it's a great type of car. Kinda cramped in the back but it's WORKING wheels and honestly the best car I've ever had. AND with plenty tax return left over for other fun stuff and some necessary stuff.

So it's been an interesting couple weeks, to say the least!
