On Wednesday I had to go in to day surgery to get some bladder stones removed. They worked on me for quite a while and didn't get it all so I have to go back. It's impossible to get an IV in me on the first try, so that was pretty shitty. I still feel crappy today, but a little better than yesterday, so there is hope yet.
Other than that, not much new. We've got a lot of stuff going on this month though.
OMFG! I hope you're okay! That sounds horrible. :C I hear bladder and kidney stone type stuff is super painful. I wish you all healing and you have all my hugs.
I'm okay. I've been concentrating on crafting because I'm trying to get everyone's holiday gifts done in time!!!
It freaking sucks. I wasn't even in pain before I got this done but of course it's not really healthy to have those things hanging around so I went in to get rid of them. I feel like I should be taking it easy in the hospital, not having to walk around and do stuff. I'm glad my son's old enough to not have to be carried, etc. I would not be able to do it.
Yeuch! What a week! Started it with a migraine - the worst I've had in a long time and I couldn't find the emergency meds for when they get that bad (partly because of how bad it was!) Ending it with a stomach upset!
In more positive news, I did a reading challenge last month - set myself the challenge of finishing at least 2 books and managed to read 3 and 1/2. It has inspired me to undertake a reading marathon for the next 13 months (to the end of 2014) to try and reduce the amount of unread books in my house. I've written about it in more detail on my journal - but if anyone would like to join me in the marathon feel free to pop by, read more about it and join the fun.
Books are threatening to take over my house - they sneak in when I'm not looking I'm sure of it! In better news, because of not feeling well, I've laid around for most of the day and managed to finish one (that I will very happily now get rid of as despite reviews to the contrary I thought it was no good!)
I'm stressed out and have no brain for literature lately, so thankfully the library keeps me stocked on completely fluffy, no-thinkin-needed, not very emotionally challenging trashy smutty romance novels. It's like a chocolate bar for your noggin. So good. Mmm, chocolate bar, what a nice idea...
