Hi there

This is the first time I post here, so I hope I'm tagging this correctly.

I often cook this dish when I have guests over for dinner and receive a lot of praise for it. There hasn't been a single time when I haven't been asked for the recipe, so this one is a crowd pleaser! :D

That looks so tasty. Too bad my husband's allergic to dairy. I wonder if there's such a thing as non-dairy sour cream.

If you'd like to :D

You might like [community profile] omnomnom which is a food and recipe related comm. There's also [community profile] in_a_pickle which is about preserving and pickling although it does have a tendency to be quieter. I've got a couple of other food/cooking related comms on my circle but they are even quieter still!

Yeah we love recipe posts here! Buuuut, it sometimes depends on various factors how much activity any post gets, especially because it's not a food-specific group.

Things are pretty stressful for me and I haven't been able to devote as much time as I'd originally hoped to making lots of posts to get things started at being active either, so that hasn't helped as far as getting more members/more participation.

Good luck finding a place that has lots of chat about food and cooking! If you find a good one feel free to tell us about it over here!

Looks yummy!

I went to culinary school for 2 years and I've always liked to cook and feel like I'm pretty good at it (even before the culinary school).

That's fine, but just know that I don't usually talk much about cooking or share recipes. I talk about my son and husband a lot and I suffer from depression, so I understand if that's not really what you're looking for.

What I do is, I have a bunch of staple recipes I'm pretty good at and can just whip up, and if I'm looking for something I've never made I either look up Alton Brown to see if he's made it or I go to pinterest and look at the most popular recipes for whatever I'm looking for.

Don't worry about chopping onions, I still suck at it. In fact I do a lot of "chopping" in the food processor, especially if I'm making a lot.

Oh good! We have had some struggles with behavior at home. Maybe you'll have some tips for that. My son is turning 7 on Sunday. :) Feel free to read back a bit.
