Wow is it Friday again already?!




I've had a whirlwind week visiting my family, I've not seen them in four years. Sister's kids are very lively and I had them all crawling all over me and then chasing me all over the yard which is why this is a very late post.

Sounds like you've been having fun with your sister's kids!

My week's been quiet - extra hours at work have left me tired, but I've not been sleeping overly well. Roadworks are adding a number of extra miles to my journey as well as time, which means leaving earlier. Urgh! Only good thing about that has been the great audiobook I've been listening to for the last week- which I've now finished. I enjoyed it so much that I've ordered the sequel (in paperback as it's not available in audio). I've started on the next one - this one is a PD James novel and having a bit of a murder mystery makes a change. I'm not particularly familiar with her works but this one is pretty good so far.

I've not really achieved much of anything else - reading, writing, cleaning, craft projects are all on a go slow. I finished a book that was disappointing, I'd hoped for more from it, but not got far into the next one I've started.

We moved to a new house on the 2nd. Took a while to settle in and tidy up everything but that's done now.
Hopefully, newt week I'll go register as self-employed and start applying for jobs in agencies.
I actually have a whole plan in my head that leads to me moving to Germany relatively soon. I'm really excited about it because moving goes along with cutting ties with my mum and I can't wait for that to happen! I won't go into details, but let's just say that she's no good for me.

So yeah, it's been a pretty full week but all in all it was good :)

It's been okay. Finally got the internet working right (YAY) and dealing with somewhat of a sleep regression in the little one (boo). I think the sleep issue is just that she and I both have been sleeping later in the mornings and I've gotta start getting us both out of bed earlier, so maybe she'll go to sleep before 1am x_x

Well other great news is that Netflix added recent seasons of a few of our favorite shows over the last week, so now we've got stuff to watch! We're working through Walking Dead right now, and there's also Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. Looking forward to all of it! Now if they would just hurry up with Doctor Who... haha.

Oh, and I BOUGHT YARN. I want to make hats for my kids. But the yarn is fuzzy and I realized after I started trying to work with it that the fuzz makes it nearly impossible to see where one stitch ends and the next starts... I have no idea where to stick the hook into the stitch! LoL. I worked with it a little and I'm sorta getting the hang of it, but man I feel like I'm learning to crochet all over again. But it's such a cute color combo of lime-ish green and purple that I couldn't resist buying it. XD
