Oh no! I missed last week! I'm sorry! Well here's this week's anyway!



I should've thought ahead and posted it early, I spent all last weekend in a cabin out in the woods and forgot all about it!

So yes, there was a cabin in the woods and there's been applying to jobs, and other than that I'm settling into the new place and finding my way around the neighborhood, slowly but surely.

Also the next time I go (if I can brave the wasps again) I should make a short horror film. XD

It is, I love it. :D The rediculus thing is, there's a stage musical version of Evil Dead, and that song is the opening number. (has soundtrack and ebook version of the script)

Maybe make the horror film about the wasps? Ooh, or go late enough in the year where the cold's killed them off.

If it's cold enough for the wasps to be dead, they don't go-- tends to be a bit too cold to sleep in an uninsulated cabin and use an outhouse usually!

I've had a quiet week, catching up on research etc, because everyone in my house has been ill lately. I've been indulging in lots of nommy foods lately too.

A couple days ago I ordered all my candle stuff, except for the holders, because I couldn't find anything I liked in bulk. I think I've seen tealights at my craft store, so I'll probably go check that out soon. I got a 10 lb. bag of wax in the mail today and I got my dye blocks yesterday. I'm excited to start but at the same time I'm scared I'll screw it all up and waste all the money I spent on the stuff. Well, I guess if they end up so bad that I don't want to sell them, I can keep them for myself and any friends who don't mind crappy candles. LOL

Oh! We saw Gravity today. I thought it was really good--not one of the best movies of all time like people are saying, but good. My husband didn't care for it. He's just not impressed by space movies and he ruined it for himself by reading something about how everything that happened is impossible, or highly unlikely.

Other than that, not much going on!

I always feel sorry for people who can't enjoy the fiction part of science fiction. If it has to be factually accurate, watch National Geographic. XD Guess that's why I'm a fantasy chick, they don't take themselves that seriously.

I am excited about your candles! I hope you'll do a post on them. <3

Cabin in the woods sounds great (providing you haven't watched too many horror movies in advance!) Good luck with the job applications.

I've had a busy week. Lots of extra work things happening, some decluttering type progress at home as well which has to be a good thing long term but is exhausting in the short term.

At the end of last week I found out a friend was pregnant so I hit the wool stash when I got back from seeing her and actually found some unfinished projects that would be suitable to make a present. I've managed to finish knitting one sweater already (there wasn't much left to do) and have managed to sew it up.

I've finished an audiobook this week - overall it was fine (not as riveting as some but not completely awful) apart from a single plot point that appeared really later (disk 10 or 11 out of 12 to give an idea how late) and its sole purpose appeared to be to shock, not to actually add anything to the story.

I figured you were busy with moving and whatnot, so it's okay! I've been thinking about finding some other fun little game to post but I haven't gotten past considering it, heh.

As for me, it's been an odd week. The husband spend a LOT of time prepping for a late-night D&D session that ended up being ALL night (yes there were words about that! LoL). My 8.5mo is still an inconsistent sleeper. Go figure, the night my husband wasn't home, she slept GREAT and I had lots of "me" time. Heh.

And tomorrow is my birthday (technically today as I'm typing this after midnight but meh), but we don't have anything special planned just yet. The husband was going to take us all to a local ice cream factory (actually the first one of the brand, so it's kind of a local historical tourist attraction, our small town's ONE claim to fame haha), but I've been once, and honestly the tour is pretty boring. So we're gonna wing it, I guess. I'm thinking of going to the AT&T store and picking out a new phone, nothing expensive, but my husband's phone got dunked in milk by our toddler so he was given another one by a friend, and I've gotten jealous that it has the IM-style text messaging and mine doesn't. Haha. Mine gets glitchy sometimes anyway, so we'll see what I can find. It's prepaid though so my options will be limited.

Wow, that turned into a novel. I shouldn't respond to these things when I'm tired, hah. XD

Lol I ended up getting a not so cheap touchscreen. Well it was cheap as touchscreens go but not cheap for me! I like it though. One day maybe a fancier bigger phone with a decent camera but this works for now!
